The new 2022 C Class is definitely one to consider if you are looking for a new Mercedes-Benz. It is the newest model out there and with that comes with new improvements like technology and design. The new C Class has more space, a more aggressive look to it, and of course the latest and greatest MBUX infotainment technology. Here is a breakdown of this year’s 2022 C Class.
The 2022 C300 and C300 4Matic sedans are both scheduled to arrive here in the U.S. at some point this year. According to multiple sources the new sedan’s wheelbase is about one inch longer than the 2021 model and the body is two and a half inches longer, about a half an inch wider, and is a bit shorter than its predecessor. The rear headroom and legroom are also a bit larger.
Design wise, the 2022 C Class borrows heavily from the A Class and the new look does away with a slightly bulbous rear of the previous generation sedan. The look is generally more angular in the front end which allows it to compete visually with competitors from other luxury brands like BMW and Audi.
Like most new cars the most exciting things can be found through the technology. Mercedes-Benz says that the latest version of their MBUX infotainment system has more processing power than any other generation. Inside you will find that the tactile controls have remained the same. Things like knobs and buttons for the drive mode, camera view, vehicle settings, hazard lights, and audio volume. There is a fingerprint scanner used for logging into individual driver profiles and of course wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Mercedes-Benz has yet to announce pricing but we are guessing that they will fall somewhere between $43,000 to $45,000. They are expected in showrooms here in the U.S. in early 2022.
