When ranking the best luxury cars, it’s no surprise that Mercedes-Benz is always one of the top contenders. Since being founded in 1926, Mercedes-Benz thrives to be the best a what they do year in and year out. 2019 is no different. In 2019, U.S. News & World Report ranked Mercedes-Benz in the top 5 for best luxury car brands. Mercedes-Benz has a long history of building vehicles with industry-leading designs and engine performance and the brand has yet to change it’s course. Every new model they release is innovative, reliable, safe, sexy, and screams pure luxury. That being said, Mercedes-Benz is about to take off and lead the market even more so next year when they release their all-electric EQC. We’ve discussed the all-electric EQC before but now that the release date is a bit closer, we have some updated information for all Mercedes-Benz EQC fans and supporters.

The EQC will deliver premium electric practicality while giving drivers the same Mercedes-Benz luxury experience they are used to. What could be better than pure luxury coupled with being environmentally friendly? The release date is said to fall in the beginning of the 2020 calendar year. The infotainment system will include basic features like voice controls and safety features. However, new features will include the use of route data, along with speed limits and vehicle following distance to determine the best times for coasting.

The EQC will pull power from two electric motors. Output totals at 402 horsepower and 564 pound-feet of torque. The EQC can go from 0-60mph in a little under 5 seconds while the top speed measures at around 112mph. The vehicle will be equipped with an 80-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that will allow a travel distance of 250 miles on a full charge. The EQC will include a 7.4kW onboard charger that will allow DC fast-charging possible. Mercedes-Benz stated that EQC owners can expect to charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 40 minutes.

Similar to any normal gas-powered Mercedes-Benz, the EQC will have different drive modes that include Comfort, Sport, Individual, Eco, and Max Range. Each mode changes the EQC’s suspension, steering, and throttle response.

Mercedes-Benz has always been one of the best car brands in the world. Their innovation and creativity never fail to impress, and they always seem to lead the luxury car market every single year. Next year, 2020, will be no different as Mercedes-Benz will release the EQC and change the electric car movement forever. Stay tuned for more updates on the Mercedes-Benz 2020 EQC.
