The Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV is finally here in the U.S and we are thrilled! After hitting showrooms at the end of last year we could not wait to see the EQE SUV on our roads. Now that they are here and available we will review what this slick SUV truly has to offer.
The first thing we will talk about is its style. It has a rounded appearance and it does not look like other modern crossovers. In fact, park an EQE SUV next to a GLE and the resemblance will be clear. The EQE SUV leans on its aerodynamics to help maximize its driving range, which is expected to come in at around 300 miles per charge.
The cabin is just like the rest of the EQE and EQS lineup. The standard setup uses the 12.8-inch portrait-oriented central touchscreen with 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The interior looks open and airy with enough passenger space for adults to comfortably sit in both the front and rear seats. All models are five-seaters as there is no third row. A large panoramic sunroof is standard but those seeking the utmost in luxury have the option of choosing additional features like front massaging seats, the four-zone automatic climate control system, or the onboard air purifier.
The battery itself is arguably the most compelling part of this car. The EQE SUV comes with a 90.6kWh battery which, as mentioned before, provides a driving range of about 300 miles in the most efficient rear-wheel drive EQE350+ model. When plugged in at a fast charging station, Mercedes-Benz reports that the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in a little over 30 minutes. A relatively impressive charge time for an electric SUV.
Current owners are impressed and review sites have very little to critique as Mercedes-Benz has yet again come out with one of the best cars to ever hit the market. Stay tuned for updates and what might be next for the year 2024.
