The new Porsche 911 is fully equipped with the newest technology, the best safety features, and of course excellent handling. There are many reasons why we would recommend the 2019 Porsche 911. From the brand, to the prestige, to the performance there are so many things that make this car great. However, no car is perfect. There are always downsides that owners fail to see because of their brand biases. Yes, Porsche is a luxury brand and the 911 is a dream car for many but this does not mean the 2019 model is flawless. Our team here at Midtown Autoworks want future Porsche 911 owners to consider a few things before cutting the check.

The first thing we encourage future Porsche 911 owners to understand is that this car is small. The small size may not matter to previous or current Porsche owners and/or is probably not a big surprise to them. However, it is still something every future owner should be aware of. Sure, the size is great for zipping around in big cities and is the ideal size for parking, but a small sized car means owners will not have the ability to haul around a lot of things. Even a trip to the grocery store may be difficult as only so much can fit in the trunk. The small size may not matter a whole lot, but it should be taken into consideration.

The second thing future Porsche 911 owners should take into consideration is the fact that the car has an average infotainment system. While Apple CarPlay is provided, current owners complain that the system is quite confusing for first time users. There tends to be a slow response from the system which does not make the typical Porsche owner very happy. Again, this is a small downside within the Porsche 911 but is definitely something future owners might want to consider.

Lastly, understand the cost. For people even considering a Porsche, price is probably not a huge factor to them. However, the starting price is $91,000. For anything more, owners can be looking at a price tag of $200,000. For an average car buyer this is a little high. Yes, Porsche is a higher end brand which justifies the price tag, but it is important to remember how much it is going to cost you for this sports car.

The Porsche 911 is a fun, slick, and sexy car for sure. We just want future owners to know what they are getting, good and bad. We want the cons to be clear to future owners, so they are not surprised after they become official owners. Take what we have said into consideration and if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to reach out to our expert team.
