If you are a Porsche fanatic you are probably most familiar with Porsche models you see on the road. 911s, Cayennes, Panameras, etc. You see these models most often because they are very popular amongst consumers and street legal. However, there is an entirely different Porsche world that not many know about. That is the Porsche racing world. Today we are going to take a look at Porsche’s newest release that is only for track days and circuit racing: the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25.

The 911 GT2 RS is not a street-legal model. This 911 variant is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six. It makes 691 hp delivered to just the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox famously known as the PDK. It has an adjustable racing suspension, carbon-fiber bodywork, a data logger, and Porsche’s Stability Management system. Additionally, it has electric power steering with a variable steering ratio from the 935.

The 25 in the name honors 25 years of collaboration between Porsche Motorsport and Manthey-Racing GmbH. Porsche’s director of Special Projects Grant Larson stated that this model, “amalgamates the respective strengths of each partner into one racing car, and at the same time bridges the gap between 991 and 992 model generations of the 911.”

On top of all of this, part of the excitement is it’s exclusivity. Porsche only intends to make a handful of these models and the United States will only see about six! And if you are lucky enough to be one of six people to get your hands on one, you will have to fork up about $620,000.

Although the racetrack is the only place you can see this model in action the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25 is still a fascinating car that is pretty much one of a kind. Keep your eyes peeled for when this model arrives on the tracks because it will blow it’s competition away.
